I may be a sort of grinch a month before christmas, but when it starts nearing a week before christmas, I get really excited. I start to get so excited in anticipation, that every year of my life so far, I havent been able to sleep at all the night before christmas. I'm not sure why, since almost every other night of my life I fall asleep a little too easily. And, I'm 23 years old now so it shouldnt still be a problem. It must be engrained in me from all the excitement from years past. I'm curious to see if I get any sleep this christmas eve or not.

WHAtS GOING ON
I looked at the calendar today, and couldnt believe how close it is to christmas! This month has really flown by so fast. We're moving to Peoria in 3 weeks, and im not prepared to move at all. So, besides getting ready to move and getting ready for christmas, here's some random stuff going on:
LOST SEASON PREMIER
I heard on the radio yesterday that the LOST season premiere is on Jan. 31st. I'd heard rumors before now, that they might not bring the show back at all because of the writers strike. They said that they might not have enough episodes completed to air an entire season. Hopefully this season turns out ok, and hopefully they FINALLY explain whats been going on with the stinking island all along, and dont just cut the show off halfway through the season.
NECKLACE ORGANIZER
I got a earring organizer a couple weeks ago, and decided to find something to help me organize ny necklaces better. They always get really tangled together, and it makes it hard to find one to wear. This is the organizer I ended up getting:

THE GUILT BELL
I've found that shopping during the christmas season is always a guilty experience for me. I always see the SALVATION ARMY bell ringer ringing their bell for donations. I think the Salvation Army is a great organization, and think its great that they give the donations to so many needy families that really appreciate the help. BUT, I've found that I can't pass one of the bell ringers without feeling guilt. I decided there are 4 possible options when passing a bell ringer.
1.Be greedy and give nothing at all (makes me feel pretty mean and heartless)
2. Grab a couple coins from my purse before leaving the store, to give to the bell ringer.(which makes me feel guilty for not giving more.
3. Open up my wallet to grab some change as I'm leaving the store (which has a bunch of dollar bills wadded up inside, so i end up feeling REALLY guilty that Im not giving all the money in my wallet.
4. Give a larger size donation (still makes me feel guilty, because I know I need the money myself and spent too much money, and probably will need the money later)
SO, i guess no more shopping for me till after christmas. Or, no brining cash with me at all, but just my debit card when i go.

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT CHRISTMAS
I woke up this morning, REALLY EXCITED because it was FRIDAY!! BUTTTTT, then i realized it was REALLY only Thursday. So, here's a post about some things I love to try and change my mood....I know I'm not SUPER gung-ho about christmas, but there are definitely things I love about Christmas/Wintertime.
Here are my
TOP 10 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT CHRISTMAS/WINTERTIME
TOP 10 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT CHRISTMAS/WINTERTIME
1. CHRISTMAS CAROLS
I love hearing christmas music playing in all the stores/places I go, and on the radio.(I dont love that the radio has started playing it a week before thanksgiving though) I am obsessed with music/singing, and christmas music is one of my favorite types of music. Its one thing I always look forward to every year.
2. HOT CHOCOLATE
I love sipping hot chocolate in the cold weather in cute santa mugs. I bought them for Devin last year, and its been our new tradition to drink hot chocolate from our santa mugs together.
3. SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY

5. CHRISTMAS SHOPPING (love/hate)
6. CHRISTMAS BAKED GOODIES
This is one of my FAVORITE things about christmas. I really should gain 20 pounds each christmas, because every time theres any cookie/fudge/ treat around I'm the first to dig in. I love making christmas goodies for other people too.

7. THE WORLD IS MORE GIVING
I love the fact that people who need help and who are having a hard time, get extra help from the community during christmas. I used to help out with the salvation army when I was growing up, and I loved to see people who were so grateful for everything.

8. CHRISTMAS MOVIES
I admit, alot of christmas movies are sometimes pretty cheesy, but I still love watching most of them.

TAGGED AGAIN
ALLISON tagged me, so here are 5 more random/boring facts about myself:
I could eat potatoes pretty much every day. Mashed potatoes, French Fries, Baked Potatoes, Potato Casseroles....all so dang tasty.
2. IM NOT SUPER GUNG HO ABOUT THE HOLIDAYS:
I used to go shopping the day after thanksgiving every year, but the last couple years I decided it really wasnt worth the stress to get the same sales you can get on regular days where there arent a ton of people around. I tend to save my shopping till last minute. Also, since i live in a small apartment, I dont have a christmas tree. Most of you probably think by reading this that I'm anti-christmas. I really do like christmas though. Im just not super gung ho about it RIGHT NOW since I dont have any kids and dont have a cute house to decorate. I'm sure I'll be more gung ho about it in the future though. AND, I do love spending time with family on Christmas, but I usually end up getting a migraine by about 3 or 4 pm on Christmas Day. Oh, and I LOVE white elephant gift exchanges.
I DOOOO love thanksgiving though. Its my favorite holiday of the year. I LOVE all the food and spending time with family and being lazy, and having paid time off work. Its pretty awesome.
3. IM OBSESSED WITH JEWELRY
I love love love love love love love jewelry, and I ESPECIALLY love earrings. I recently bought an awesome earring rack that helps organize my earrings and keep them from getting all tangled up. It also helps to save space and organize them better so their not such a mess in my jewelry box. I seriously love this thing:
4. IM A LITTLE TOO LITERAL SOMETIMES
Most of the time when people tell me a joke I don't get the punchline, and have to have people explain it to me. Or, when I'm watching a movie, I have to ask a ton of questions because I dont see past the surface of whats going on. Its difficult for me to enjoy mafia or CIA movies, because theres too much going on, and I have to ask a bunch of questions the whole way to really know whats going on.
It's not the actual pumping of the gas that I hate...its more like the fact that sometimes there's a bunch of creepos pumping gas next to me, and I feel like a gas station would be an opportune place for a psycho to grab someone and kidnap them. I also hate the fact that your standing next to a busy street with a bunch of cars driving by, and all the people driving by get to stare at you too.
The rules are to now tag 5 people and have them read these rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share 5 facts about yourself, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are TAGGED by leaving a comment on their blog.
