I'M ALIVE!!!!!!!!

Yes, Its a miracle and I've FINALLY decided to blog again. Ive been ignoring my blog and putting off blogging for quite awhile now. I have had some health problems that leave me with very little energy for the last little while. That's part of the reason I haven't been blogging for so long. Another reason is because when i get home from work if i get on the computer to blog, before I know it I'll end up surfing the internet for 3 hours or more. I first started writing this blog in the MIDDLE OF MARCH but forgot to finish it till now. Ive been trying to stay away from the computer sort of because i spend too much time on it when i do go on it. But, I decided to try and blog a LITTLE more from now on in the future.

So, what Ive most recently been up to is I went to visit my friend Chrissy in Lehi, Utah a while ago. I haven't visited her in Utah since she got married almost 3 years ago so it was really fun! I got to see her daughter Kennedy, and her step daughter Kyrsten who i haven't seen in a long time which was really nice. Kennedy just turned 2 years old and is SOOOOO smart. She can talk so much and knows everyone's name around her. Some cute things she does are: She has to have a baby wipe with her when she eats so she can clean up herself and the table around her if she makes a mess. She also always wants to have her hair done cute before she leaves the house. Theres lots of other things she does that are cute but i cant remember them all. While I was visiting Chrissy, we went to see the movie "Taken", went shopping at the outlet stores in Park City, got spa pedicures, saw a improv comedy group, and did more shopping. It was lots of fun and I will have to visit her and her family alot sooner next time. Sadly, we forgot to take pictures when I was there so I don't have any to post.

One of the thing i bought while I was visiting Chrissy is a blanket wrap similar to the "snuggie". I know they look absolutely ridiculous and most of you probably cant figure out what i actually wanted one. I myself thought they were SERIOUSLY ridiculous when i saw a video AMY posted about them on her blog. But, then somehow i kept thinking about them and wanted one of my own. I was JUST about to go buy a snuggie when I was told that they only cover you in the front and that their pretty much just like a backwards bathrobe. So, my snuggie excitement was crushed and I didn't get one. BUTTTTTT, while i Utah I found a blanket wrap at Ross, that covers you from front to back. AND IT WAS PINK!!!! I already feel the urge to buy anything if its pink regardless if i need like or want it, so the fact that it WASN'T a backwards bathrobe and it was pink and only 6 dollars totally made my day!!! My camera is having issues so I don't have any pictures to post of it. I know, boring.

So, as for what else is going on with me and Devin, not a whole lot has been going on. Devin fractured his wrist while horsing around with one of his friends, and had surgery on it a couple months ago. They put a screw in it to make the bone grow back together. His wrist has not healed completely but is starting to feel better. Also, Devin is taking summer school for his last semester of nursing school, so if all goes according to plan he will be finishing nursing school at the end of the summer. YAY!!! After he finishes he plans to go to school for another year to get his bachelors in nursing. He will probably work as nurse while he does that. So, even though our future is still somewhat up in the air, its nice to have another phase in our lives coming to an end.

Ive also been into reading, alot more lately. Heres a list of the books Im currently reading or am going to read:

The House of Night Series

To Kill Mockingbird

The Other Side of Silence

Roomates Wanted

Snow Falling on Cedars

Ive read the first two books of the house of night series so far and really like the series. I actually like it more than the Twilight series. Sorry to those of you that love Twilight but if you like reading and like vampire books than you might like reading the series. Ive also read the book Snow Falling On Cedars, and enjoyed that book also.

I'm going to try and post at LEAST once a month from now on, even if i don't have anything very interesting to blog about. Hopefully I don't take another 7 month blog hiatus. HOLY CRAP!!!! I just realized its been 7 MONTHS!!!! I'm really really really gonna try to blog more often. My next blogs are gonna show my new hair since it used to be really long and is much shorter now. I'm also gonna show a picture of my teeth before and after i get new crowns put on them. Currently I have one tooth with a crown on it that is not done well at all and sorta falling off. Another tooth had a temporary crown put on it when I was about 15 or so and it fell off and I never got a permanent crown put on it. I am excited to have a more normal looking smile I can be proud of!!!

LOTS TO CATCH UP ON....

I really should have posted about 5 blogs by now for all of the stuff I've wanted to update on my blog, but I'll just make it into one super long post instead.

First of all, my sister Melanie had her baby boy Owen Caleb Wallbrecht On August 12th! I'm so happy for her, and cant wait to see him in person. Here's a picture of the cute little guy:
Go Here:http://melanieandjosh.blogspot.com/ if you want to see more adorable pictures of him.

The rest of our summer has been pretty uneventful for both Devin and I, except for my friend Chrissy came to visit, which was lots of fun.

Here are some pictures from her visit:
This picture is of Chrissy and I holding the book "BREAKING DAWN". We both went to the bookstore at midnight the night the book was released to buy our pre-ordered books. We forgot to take a picture at the store, so we took a picture in my apartment instead. haha. We also hung out with Chrissy's friend Christy.

Another thing I've been up to recently is making another scrapbook page. I made it for a scrapbook that was a compilation of pages put together for Devin's Grandma. Each kid's family and grandkid's family made a page for her for her 80th birthday. Here's a picture of the page I made:
I'm glad I was asked to make the page, because it forced me back into scrapbooking again. Now I'm gonna finally make some more pages I've been wanting to make for awhile but never got around to doing. And also, I can finally use all the WAY too many scrapbook supplies I have.

Lastly, here are some cute pictures of my dog Riley, who has grown a ton since I last posted pictures of him:

HELLO

Its been quite a while since I posted a new blog, so I decided I should post one. Not a whole lot has been going on with Devin and I lately. We're both working right now and Devin's about to start his second semester of nursing school. I think it starts the beginning of August.

Also, Its almost our 2 year wedding anniversary. I cant believe how much time has flown by! I realized the other day that its been 6 years since I graduated high school. It makes me feel old. Its almost my birthday too, and even though I'm really not THAT old yet, for some reason being 24 years old seems so much older than 23. It seems like I just barely turned 23. I just want to stay the same age forever.

As for what else we've been up to;

We saw the movie:
over the weekend. I really liked the movie alot. I wasn't expecting to love it, because I'm not familiar with the old show its based on, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was laughing so hard during the entire movie. So, if you havent seen the movie yet, and like Steve Carrel, I would highly recommend seeing it. Its one of those movies I could definitely watch over and over again.

After we finished watching our movie, we were walking past a ling of people waiting to see a different movie, and we walked past
WOLF, from the show AMERICAN GLADIATOR. If you dont know who he is, heres a picture of him:He's a pretty huge scary guy. Hes not as scary in person than I thought he would be. I didn't even recognize him at first. I had to walk by him a couple of times to get a good look at him. I sort of wanted to ask him for his autograph or something, but I wasn't brave enough. This was my first time seeing a celebrity in person, so i was a little starstruck. I know hes not the most famous celebrity out there, but it was still pretty awesome to see someone famous doing regular stuff with regular people.

Our New Addition

Two weeks ago, we decided to add a member to our little family, and bought another chihuahua. We had been thinking about getting another one for quite some time, and so we decided it was a good time to get one, since Devin had a couple weeks off in between his first semester ending and starting his summer job. Devin got a job as a tomography tech assistant at Del Webb hospital, and will be starting in a couple days. He's excited to get more experience working in a hospital while he's in nursing school.
Here are some pictures of our new puppy Riley:

Max was already getting really big, but now that we have a tiny puppy to compare him too, he looks like a GIANT!!! He loves having a friend to play with though. Well, most of the time, when he isn't super jealous. I forgot how much work puppies can be, and he sure has been keeping us awake, but we still love him. haha. His personality is WAY different than Max's. He's way way way way way more hyper and playful, chews on everything in sight, and is REALLY tough for a 8 week old. We were thinking about calling him boxer, because if you hold him, he bats his paws at you like hes trying to box you. But, some good things about his personality being different are: he doesn't whine during care rides AT ALL, doesnt whine all the time, and he loves his kennel. Max was pretty much opposite as a puppy. Sometimes when we cant find Riley, we look around and find he walked into his kennel by himself. He learned to do it by himself after about 1 day.

As for what else is new with us, I havent read any of the books I posted about yet, and havent been working out for the past 3 or so weeks either. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into exercising more, and reading too soon. Devin has been running alot, trying to train for the upcoming PF Changs marathon later this year.

Another thing thats happened soon is; I had to get an Electromyography(EMG) done to figure out whats wrong with my foot. First I was referred to a podiatrist, who then referred me to a neurologist to see if I had a nerve problem in my leg or lower back possibly. I had NOOOOOO idea what I was getting my self into when going in to get the EMG done. Im sure everyone has shocked them self before. Well, imagine that, only 10 thousand times stronger over and over and over. Kind of like electrocuting yourself on purpose. I seriously HATE shocking myself, so it was PURE TORTURE for me. Then, halfway through getting shocked to death the neurologist told me he was gonna stick NEEDLES into my muscles to listen to them. I thought "YOU'RE KIDDING ME RIGHT?!?!?!?!". I absolutely HATE needles. He wasn't kidding. I'm sure there are MUCH worse medical procedures that i could have had to possibly go through, but thats one i REALLY hope i don't have to do again. So, it ended up I don't have a nerve problem after all, and my foot problem is probably a neuroma. Heres a picture that explains what that is:

A neuroma is a thickening of nerve tissue that may develop in various parts of the body. The most common neuroma in the foot is a Morton's neuroma, which occurs at the base of the third and fourth toes. It is sometimes referred to as an intermetatarsal neuroma. "Intermetatarsal" describes its location - in the ball of the foot between the metatarsal bones (the bones extending from the toes to the midfoot). Neuromas may also occur in other locations in the foot.

WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE??

I looked at my blog page today, and realized how long its been since Ive posted, so i decided I should post again. I dont have anything really exciting to post about, but I thought I'd post anyway.

This year has passed by really quickly so far. I cant believe its already MAY!!!! Devin is pretty much done with his first semester of nursing school. Only three more semesters to go.

We STILL haven't decorated our apartment(meaning hung anything on the walls). Maybe we can finally fill up our blank white walls.

Lately Ive been working out more using work out videos, and I really enjoy using videos to work out, cause I dont have to leave my house(aparment) to go work out. These are the newest work out videos I've purchased:
This one I haven't used yet, but I bought it for only $25, which is a smoking deal in my opinion. Im really excited to use it though, since I've been really into watching biggest loser this last season, and think Jillian is a great trainer on the show, so her videos are probably cool. They might be a little cheesy though.
This video, I have used quite often, and LOVE. I would highly recommend it. There are about 12 or more workouts that are under 15 minutes(which are great when you dont have much time to work out, or just dont feel like spending alot of time on working out), and there are also about 12 workouts that are over 15 minutes. Its awesome that there are so many different workouts on one dvd. I payed like $6 including shipping for this one. I sure LOVE smoking deals. I got both these dvds on amazon. I love that website. haha.

Ive also been reading more lately. These are a couple books I've read in the past few weeks:
I've always been interested in reading about kings and queens for some reason, so I really enjoyed reading these books. I cant really say if I would recommend them to anyone else to read though. I guess it depends on what type of books you like.

Here are the books Im gonna try and read next. Their pretty lengthy books, so Im not sure If Ill finish them or not.....

(this one has more than 1200 pages!!)
